Construction at The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami continues to advance, with several key milestones marking steady progress on the Brickell Key site. Following the closure of the original Mandarin Oriental, Miami Hotel in May 2025, demolition and structural preparations have proceeded according to plan, positioning the project for its next phase of construction and a targeted 2030 completion.
Demolition activities have moved forward methodically, with 98% of all non-structural demolition completed as of December 2025. This milestone has enabled the start of structural modifications and site preparations necessary for the next stages of development.
Jessica Chen, Vice President of Construction, emphasized that detailed planning and coordination have been central to maintaining disciplined timelines throughout the process. With structural work now underway, the project remains on target for delivery.
“Through thoughtful planning and coordination, we are on schedule to implode the remaining structure in the second quarter of 2026,” said Chen.
The planned implosion marks a significant milestone in the site’s transformation. In advance of this next phase, the Sales Pavilion will close on February 19, 2026 to enable continued construction. Private visits will still be accommodated before the closure.
As construction continues to move along at pace, each completed milestone reflects the careful execution guiding the evolution of The Residences at Mandarin Oriental, Miami.
